​I ran screaming from the country when I was 16.

I grew up with a love of the arts, theatre, dance and music, and a father who played guitar whose name was, actually, Barry White.

I still love the smell of rehearsals in an

old theatre and the hum of footlights.

​

​

I lived in Taiwan, which left me with

a penchant for Mandarin and Chinese cooking.

​

I have an orchard garden and I hate weeds.

I ferment and I pickle.

​

​

I love feeding people. Setting a heaving table

and cooking way too much food.

I love dancing and crying with laughter.

​

​

I love Dolly Parton, dance music, Madonna

and outdoor festivals. I'm a lush at heart and a Chardonnay lover.

I love my nieces and nephews, and

I'm eternally grateful for the women who populate my life.

I'd like a world where politicians didn't lie and don’t get superannuation,

marketing didn't yell at you, and supermarkets who cut pumpkin into pieces small enough for pensioners.
