Professional Bio

​

Maree White is an Australian coach, mentor and strategic thinking partner whose work centres on belief systems, identity, direction and the midlife turning point that asks us to reconsider who we are and what we want from our lives.

​

Alongside her private coaching practice, Maree works as a strategic thinking partner with people developing ideas, projects, businesses, personal brands and creative bodies of work.

​

Maree trained in the United States with Brooke Castillo at The Life Coach School, where she certified as a Life Coach.

​

Over nearly a decade in private practice, she has continued her studies in coaching mastery and developed an extensive curriculum of her own. Her work brings together coaching and thought work, philosophy, psychology, emotional intelligence, evolutionary thinking and spirituality, with an understanding of how our belief systems shape our experience.

Maree's work applies the ancient rite of passage framework to the experience of modern midlife.

Her professional and intellectual influences are broad. She has undertaken further study with Kara Loewentheil, Simone Grace Seol, Sarah Durham Wilson, Sophia Amoruso and David Bedrick. The work of Tara Brach and Michael Meade are among the influences that continue to inform her thinking.

​

Long before becoming a coach, Maree had already spent a working life developing people, ideas and projects.

​

She trained as an actor and performer at the Victorian College of the Arts before moving into community consultation, festivals, creative direction and production. She produced more than 25 major outdoor events in and around St Kilda and was the founder and curator of the St Kilda Beach Night Market.

​

Her career went on to encompass business development, brand and marketing, hospitality, tourism and interior design. She has served on tourism and community boards and traders associations, and worked across government, business and community.

​

It is this combination of experience that now sits underneath Maree's work.

​

She understands reinvention not only as a coach, but as someone who has moved through several distinct professional lives herself.
