It's just that 2am anxiety is a killer.
The headaches and recovery are next level.
Guilt is exhausting and the negative self talk can be overwhelming.
As is second guessing yourself around what you can remember.

And for sure - breaking your word to yourself over again has started to wear a little thin.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU.
THIS IS WHAT IS GOING ON
When what you said you were going to drink – and what you actually drink – are in conflict, you are experiencing cognitive dissonance.

Cognitive Dissonance
Cognitive - mind/brain/thinking
Dissonance – a lack of harmony or agreement .
​
Cognitive Dissonance means your brain is in conflict; your brain is literally in two minds.
What you want to do. And what you end up doing.
​
For example, one part of your mind knows that:

You actually love a couple of wine-free days a week.
-
Drinking 6 champagnes in the sun is a no-no.
-
You’ll never get to yoga if you have more than two.
-

And one part of your mind argues:
-
Who cares about wine-free days anymore?
-
You just have to let go and go with the moment.
-
You’ll be right; you’ll get to yoga – just a little hungover.
​
The problem is, you’ve probably thought you have to control this conflict in one of two ways:

Trying to manage your drinking situations
-
Managing your drinking behaviours.
​
1: Avoid situations where you think temptation is greater – the pub, parties, and wine-drinking occasions.
​
2: Constantly negotiating what goes in your glass.
Both require isolation, willpower, grit, and determination.
​
Not only do these feel terrible and unsustainable, they don’t teach you how to decide (and mean it) to actually want to drink less.
​
The reason you overdrink wine is because you are experiencing “over-desire” – the desire to overdrink feels greater than the desire to drink less, even though logically you know you want to cut back based on what overdrinking is creating for you.
​
When you unwind over-desire, you naturally desire to drink less wine. And the simple way to unwind desire is by understanding the dissonance of your wine-drinking mind.
Hello, I'm Maree White, a Life Coach who runs an online practice in the salty air of the coastal town of Jan Juc Australia.

I teach women on how to reset their wine mind.
Not only am I a wine lover, but in my previous life before coaching, I worked in hospitality and festivals in various capacities for over 30 years. I don’t just love wine, I understand it.
In fact the way I got into coaching was because I also over drank. ( An over ate, and over thought : )
And I tried everything and nothing worked except coaching.
While I was trying to understand was, why am I still over drinking when it’s clear I want to cut back?

And what do I need to learn to do to say what I’d like to drink and actually follow through?

And how can I feel inspired to start today and not put it off onto another "never happening tomorrow".

x I needed some structure.
x but it had to be flexible.
x I wanted to be able to have a big night when occasion called.
x but I also wanted to feel more in control.
x I wanted to understand my seemingly overdesire.
x and I wanted to get 8am Saturday yoga.

I have been teaching women how to drink wine for nearly ten years, I run private workshops, Masterclasses, and webinars and have an amazing bunch of woman who not only have resolved their drinking - have transformed their lives in the place of over drinking - because they have learned the how to manage their thinking.

It's my mission to help as many women as I can make the connection between how they drink and how they think. Over drinking wine is is boring and if it keeps happening it can be soul destroying.
For sure, being sober is the only thing that works for some people. There are a lot of us that just want to find balance.
So we can still enjoy drinking wine, but doing it in a way that serves us.

When I started my own journey I found myself lost in fear-based info and cringy Facebook groups, doing pointless challenges that never changed my behaviour—just made me want to drink more.

Apps are gimmicky, and I could never get the answers specific to me.

Trying to work out what was relevant to me wasted my time and confused me.
The trial and error impacted my self belief and the experience of having the results.

What I needed was a solution—someone I could speak openly with about my fears and concerns, someone with whom I could trust, someone who had been through it before, who could teach and guide me what to do and most importantly something that WORKED.

What if I cant make a session?

What if I am sick last minute?
